If you gamble in the UK you could loose more than your bet

If you gamble online and use your credit card to fund your balance you might soon get in trouble. Many credit card companies treat online gambling as a cash advance, which in turn has a higher interest rate than purchases. Even though most credit cards offer an interest free grace period of up to 30 days, this may only apply to purchases, since funding a gambling account with a credit card is considered a cash advance you might get hit with interest charges from day one. Gamblers beware! These transactions might be considered differently by your credit card issuer, so you may be loosing more than your bet when using your credit card to fund your account.
